QUICK! Warm Home Discount schemes opening now...

Could you be entitled to £140 from your electricity company to help you keep warm this winter?
To be eligible for the Warm Home Discount you need to receive a means-tested benefit or tax credit or have a household income below £16,190*.

If you receive Pension Credit, you should receive the discount automatically. The DWP should send you a letter by December to confirm this, read this carefully as it may ask you to update some details.

If you receive a different means-tested entitlement or have a household income of less than £16,190, you should check with your electricity supplier if they offer the discount and whether you are eligible. This information is often on their website or you could give them a call.

If you aren’t eligible with your supplier, you may be with another supplier. PEC can help you to look at changing to a supplier that would offer it. Call our friendly advisors on 01752 477117 and ask for help claiming the Warm Home Discount.

Some suppliers have already opened their scheme for this year and they are limited on a first come first served basis, so what are you waiting for!

*Only some suppliers have income based criteria. You will also need to meet requirements about vulnerability in the home or high fuel bills.
