Become an Energy Champion! (quick!)
DECC have just announced that they are supporting the Energy Champion programme again and are currently asking for bids for funding. We’d like to bid again!
In order to make this bid, we need 3 volunteers keen to become energy saving champions. You will receive bespoke training and all expenses will be covered. As a champion you will be required to:
- Deliver a minimum of 10 outreach sessions reaching at least 100 vulnerable consumers by 13 March 2015;
- Deliver a minimum of 5 frontline worker sessions reaching at least 40 frontline workers by 13 March 2015 (frontline workers will be employed professionals that come into regular contact with vulnerable consumers as part of their day-to-day activities, such as Local Authority, Housing Association, health-care or social care work staff);
- Report all activity and ensure that relevant information including key milestones is captured and reported to PEC as part of monthly evaluation
- Act as a point of contact for the volunteers and frontline workers you provide training to.
We successfully ran this programme last year and the above targets were easily achieved. Read more here.
Keen to get on board? We need to get in quick! Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01752477117 by Sunday 3 August. The closing date for bids is Friday 8th of August.
