Disruptive Energy Event (Exeter/Plymouth)

University of Exeter are hosting this event on disruptive energy, to be held in Exeter and Plymouth on 13-14 March 2019. The focus of the event is to discuss disruptive and innovative energy solutions that are community-focused, and the aim is that it will be an international conversation. To that end, several attendees will be from South Africa, working on some of the very pressing issues in South African informal settlements with regards to energy access, energy poverty, and off-grid renewables for these communities. The event is part of a larger project on urban energy transformations, which you can read about here.

Attendees will be from from South Africa and the UK, including representatives from the Foreign Office, DfID, and academics from Exeter, Bristol and Cambridge universities.

Dan, our renewables project lead, will be speaking at the event and sharing our experience. We will also be hosting attendees on a trip around our Ernesettle solar array.
