Frequently asked questions
Yes. Plymouth Energy Community is working with Plymouth City Council and will be offering the advice and the installed measures for FREE.
Approximately 1-2 hours. Our advisors will start by talking to you about your home and providing advice about how to cut your bills and keep the warmth inside. We will then fit some improvements. The more improvements we install in your home, the longer this will take. Sometimes we may need to organise a second appointment, for example if a heating engineer needs to fit some heating controls. .
Our team can install a range of simple measures. In all cases, we’ve selected products based on their quality and durability and, where reasonable, they will come with a warranty. Draught excluders, heating controls and hot water cylinder jackets will help you to keep warmth inside your home and keep you cosy. LED lightbulbs and energy monitors will help you to use less electricity and save money on your bills. All together these installs could help you to save significantly on your annual bills.
The Climate Active Neighbourhoods (CAN) project aims to reduce carbon emissions from domestic properties in targeted neighbourhoods across North West Europe. It is supported by European Regional Development Funding provided through the Interreg Europe Programme.
Plymouth Energy Community (PEC) has been procured by Plymouth City Council to deliver this scheme.
